Westwood Metro Tower

Tysons Corner, Virginia

A flagship for suburban office development, the redesigned, twelve-story, 210,087-square-foot Westwood Metro Tower is changing the way people work.

The multi-tenant office building offers suites that better fit individual company needs while allowing access to their employees’ wants. By updating and upgrading existing core spaces, Westwood Metro Tower provides curb appeal and entices tenant utilization of shared indoor/outdoor amenity spaces.

The vibrant, new first floor features a variety of collaboration zones and an inviting communal kitchen space. The custom, operable Renlita clear-view garage door adds industrial flair and full-height accessibility to the outdoor plaza. A cascading fountain filled with river rocks enhances visual and auditory interest in surrounding courtyard seating area and opportunities to interact with natural elements.

Cutting through the slab to connect the fourth and fifth floors, the trendsetting new Town Hall space espouses a ‘neighborhood within the building’ concept, which embraces a shared community. The beautifully-designed, two-story atrium required structural reinforcement of the cantilevered beam, and includes a communicating staircase. Using double-height glazing, the revealed façade maximizes the reach of natural light deep into the building core.

Per request, the building remained occupied throughout the demolition and construction process. Restrooms were reconfigured and updated to include ADA accessibility.
